How does 30+ years of capital market and financial service experience translate to becoming a self-employment and franchise consultant?
My journey began after I lived through two major career transitions. The first was prompted by the Lehman Brothers bankruptcy where I had worked for 25
years. I thought I would retire there. Not so! The other was a few years at another giant bank where the corporate culture was not a fit. I was miserable,
needed a change and was in an industry rut. I longed to be my own boss, control my own schedule, and make a positive impact on people and my community.
Luckily, I met my own FranNet advisor, who is now a business partner and ongoing mentor. She helped me see what options would be available for my skill
set and goals. FranNet, which is a franchise, is the business I chose so I now help others take the same journey.
Happily, over 75% of franchise owners have no prior industry experience in the business they choose. Good franchises want to train people that have transferable
skills, so I was able to escape my industry rut. Business ownership is certainly not for everyone, and I have helped many people understand that as
well. My specialty is transitioning corporate executives, retiring military officers and professionals that have taken time out of the workforce.
I took the FranNet system and built a successful business and was honored as a top consultant in 2014. This achievement is possible with many franchised

In my encore career, with my flexible work schedule, I contribute to causes I believe in. I devote time as a career ministry volunteer helping people understand
what it takes to make a successful corporate career transition. I am also a certified SCORE mentor volunteering to assist business owners and hopeful
entrepreneurs utilize the resources available through SCORE, which is part of the SBA.
