Envisioned and promoted in the mid-70's by then UGA Dean, William C. Flewellen, Jr., the University of Georgia was selected by the U.S. Small Business
Association as one of eight universities in the country to pilot a new program called the Small Business Development Centers (SBDC). 40 years
later the vision is still growing strong with 17 locations across Georgia.
The SBDC’s stated goal is "to enhance the economic well-being of Georgians by providing a wide range of educational services for small business owners and aspiring entrepreneurs."
FranNet of Atlanta is proud to partner with the Small Business Development Centers for educational programs and initiatives such as the Entrepreneurship Through Acquisition program on April 25th, 2017 at the Kennesaw State University SBDC location.
Happy Anniversary SBDC!
